RAFTS welcomes secondee

RAFTS is pleased to advise that a secondee has today commenced a short-term contract with the organisation. Carina Agnew has 10 years experience as a project manager within the water environment, and will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the organisation. As a result of successful negotiation with her parent organisation (Royal Haskoning DHV), Carina will work in the RAFTS office for three days a week (initially until the end of March 2016).

Carina will be delivering a specific package of work which focuses on training and development opportunities for fishery trusts in terms of river restoration projects.

The deliverables associated with this package of work are:

1.Identification of areas/topics for inclusion (see below).

2.Production of a ‘series of guidance notes’ encompassing good practice elements, signposts for further information, risks/benefits and procedural requirements;

3.Design of a programme of training and development to complement the guidance notes;

4.Ultimately, delivery of the programme to member trusts through a range of different methods (face-to-face, webinar, mentoring etc) – Summer 2016.
