First of two Avon Water fish passes is operational

RAFTS is delighted to announce that the first of the two fish passes (at Ferniegair Weir) on the Avon Water in South Lanarkshire is now fully operational. Site demobilisation has commenced, including removal of the temporary access road from the river channel. The photos below show the completed fish pass.

Millheugh weir fish pass (further upstream) is being completed today (26th October), and the temporary coffer dam will be removed tomorrow. Site demobilisation will then also commence at this site.
